Lower Bann (Estuary) 

Description of Water: Area is tidal. Boat is a great advantage, but bank fishing provides safe wadding generally. Two hours before and after low tide provides the best fishing.

Species: Main Quarry - Sea Trout; Secondary - Salmon, Brown Trout, Mullet (also Flounder, Bass, Pollan)

Season: 1st March - 31st October

Local Tips: Rag worm - March-June, Fly / Spinner - July-October, Use of a ghillie recommended

How to Get There: West Bank - from Castlerock Rd (A2), turning right into Cranagh Rd , at the edge of Coleraine and proceeding 2 miles. Turn right again and follow the signs for the National Trust Car Park at the old Coastguard cottages. Fair length of walk required. East Bank - from Coleraine Borough Council Marina on the Portstewart Road (A2)

Bag Limit: A maximum of 2 fish (sea trout or salmon) may be killed per permit holder / day

Size Limit: 10"

Other Restrictions: No fishing in a fish pass or within 5 metres of a weir

Boats: No restriction on use
